"They're here. Finally. Lady Ishtar." "Ishtar? The Princess of Pheliosta is here?" Says a tall man who had been standing behind the cloaked figure unbeknownst to him. "Prince Vord!" the figure exclaims. Prince Vord smiles and takes hold of the crystal ball: "An interesting case of sibling rivalry. Three princes....fighting over one princess....and Pheliosta's throne. Sorry boys, but I'll be the one to conquer her. First Ishtar and later, the world!" Image of Ishtar's caravan making its way to La Naan. Ishtar is lying down in bed inside the carriage with Duzzell-Kyawl next to her. "Ok let's see if I've got this. You're not a car but a vampire king that's holding a 100 year old grudge against my great-grandfather. Old Phelios killed you in a past life and now, a century later, you've been reborn to whack his reincarnation." (Duzzell thinking: Whack?) "Yawn, not what I'd call an action-packed plot. Why'd you fight Phelios in the first place?" (Sound effects as Duzzell-Kyawl transforms into Duzzell-as-Ishtar and tells Ishtar: "Why did I fight him? I was bored! Do you have any idea how long immortality is? I thought conquering the world would be a fun way to pass the time." Ishtar looks at him excitedly and says "So you were bored? I can relate! Hey! Maybe I should give world domination a shot too!" (Huge Smile and Duzzell's all like "WHAT?!") At that moment, Darres announced that they've arrived at the city of Knoll where they'll spend a night and arrive at La Naan castle tomorrow. And he tells Ishtar: "And please remember everything Sir Keld taught you. You're a princess so act like one and don't start any trouble, okay?" Ishtar replies: "Trouble? Me? Don't worry Darres. I know who I am and there won't be trouble. As long as these creeps don't treat me like some country hick!" (She smirks) Darres replies he didn't mean it like that and thinks 'I recognize that smile, the girl's upto something." Before Ishtar departs though she says to Darres: "You know Darres, the only thing that sets me apart is my bloodline. Without it, I'm just another girl from the sticks. So I have to cop an attitude and demand some respect from everyone. Otherwise, I'll end up under Aunt Ramia's thumb like the rest of her cronies. Don't worry Darres, I'll make you proud." Darres listened to all this with eyes that showed shock and amazement at Ishtar's words. Later, he holds a mirror and is lost in thought, thinking: "I should've reached out to her...somehow...we have all these plans for her (inset of little Ishtar at 5 saying 'I don't want to be Queen, I'd rather be a normal person like you...') But No one has ever asked her what she wants.....a normal person..." Darres looks very sad.... The 2 guards, Jill and Krai notice Darres lost in such deep thought and sees how he is looking into that mirror. "You know Krai, that mirror was a gift from Yujinn! Jill you don't suppose it was a "please think of me when you gaze into this" kind of thing....do you?" Krai replies: "Man I hope not....." Back to Ishtar who is also lost in thought but of a different sort: "We're in the City of Knoll....that means tonight......" (BIG SMILE and Duzzell-Kyawl going "HUH!?? Tonight, you're not...I mean we're not....") Ishtar answers with a "GRIN" and a "Now what should we wear, Duzie you'd look so cute in this...." Duzzie sweatdrops majorly. The next morning Darres is woken up to learn: "WHAT?!! You said Lady Ishtar is gone?" Apparently, during the night, Ishtar had taken the holy sword, Duzzell and a horse and slipped out. (Picture of a devilish Ishtar sticking her tongue out and Darres going 'Damn!! I knew this trip was a bad idea!') Ishtar's maids talk of how Sir Keld will have their head and that Ishtar was supposed to meet Lady Ramia at noon - she must be found before then. Darres reassures the crying women and tells them not to worry and that "Lady Ishtar is my responsibility. And as such, I assure you she will be in La Naan in time meet her aunt. Unless she wants to meet my spanking paddle instead! Make sure our bags arrive and her room is prepared. Jill, Krai, saddle the horses. We ride out immediately!" Near La Naan Castle...we find on horseback, 2 pretty Ishtars. Ishtar is reveling in the business of La Naan while Duzzell admonishes her that they have to stick to the plan and they're not here to sight-see. Duzzell is here to find Phelios' incarnation and his guess is he's one of Ishtar's 2 cousins they're supposed to meet here. Ishtar tells Duzzell to chill out and that they'll meet them tomorrow and he can bit anyone of them then. "So then why are we here?!" Duzzell angrily asks. Ishtar chuckles, "I have my reasons." Duzzell gets a dark look: "Your reasons....I don't like this...." Ishtar points out a sign "Oh look there it is!" Duzzell can't believe what the sign says. Elsewhere, Darres, Jill and Krai are riding horses at breakneck speed to find Ishtar. Darres thinks to himself that he could have handled this better and that after he promises to bring Ishtar back it seemed so much more dramatic to ride off in some grand exit. The truth of the matter is, Darres thinks to himself, that he has no idea where to start looking. "I've got no choice." he says and with that he stops his horse and takes out the mirror. Jill and Krai wonder what Darres is doing pulling out the mirror Yujinn gave him. (flashback to Yujinn giving the mirror to Darres): This mirror is for you. It has magical properties like Sidia, the Holy Sword. However, it can only be used once. So save it until you're desperate." Darres had replied: "Magic? Thanks Yuujin but I'm a swordsman, not a magician." But Yuujin tells him: "That's why you need it. The mirror isn't a weapon, it's a way to reach me. You never know when you might need help. I can't send any help through the mirror but I can send advice." (Exclamation point above Darres' head and he grabs Yujinn) "In other words, you think I'm going to screw up!" Yujinn smiles and tells him he doesn't have to use it but to just think of it as a good luck charm.(end flashback) "Forget it," Darres thinks. "If I call for help before we even get to La Naan, Yujinn will split his sides laughing and I'll never hear the end of it." At that moment, the trio arrive at some castle or dwelling and Darres stops a woman to ask if she's seen a knight around here. The woman turns to Darres and he and the 2 guards are taken aback, all blushing....this woman is BEAUTIFUL. "A young knight?" she asks. Back to Ishtar and Duzzell: they are at a coliseum and we find out the meaning of the sign Duzzell was so upset about. Ishtar: I'm all registered Duzie! Are you ready? Duzzell-as-Ishtar-but-looking-more-boyish: Regi...What's going on? (he's holding a sword and dressed in battle gear) Ishtar: Well I kinda got tricked by Aunt Ramia...long story short I made her a promise I shouldn't have. We have to make sure my cousins don't win this competition. It's crucial they don't. You almost beat my great-grandfather. That means you can fight right? Duzzell: What are you asking Princess? Ishtar: Just trust me. A shot of the crowd shoes the hooded, dark-cloaked figure standing in the stands of the coliseum amongst the rest of the audience. Down on the competition ground, someone hands Prince Vord a towel and the cloaked figure asks him why he's competing as Vord is the returning champion so he's already in the finals and doesn't need to worry about the first rounds. You have nothing to gain by fighting today, the 'mystic' tells Vord. Vord replies that if he wanted his advice he'd ask for it and admonishes him to go stroke his crystal ball or something. Vord takes a swig out of a bottle and the 'mystic' is left to brood quietly looking dark when there's a murmur in the audience asking 'who is that? a man? too scrawny...can those arms swing a sword?' The cloaked figure has shock around him and Vord follows suit in shock. Both see Duzzell appear as Ishtar, the Princess of Pheliosta!! The announcer begins: "And stepping into the arena..." But Vord grabs his sword and enters the arena as well: "Move! This one is mine." And stands in front of Duzzell-as-Ishtar looking all sure and cute. Duzzell-as-Ishtar goes "hmmm...who're you supposed to be? The jolly blond giant? Everyone in the stands laughs and Ishtar laughs from the stands too. In his head Vord thinks 'such attitude' but aloud he says "Why yes your highness, at your service." In his mind he thinks 'we'll see how long that sass lasts." The announcer yells: "Fighters to your marks. BEGIN!" La Naan ACT 2 We open with Darres and the beautiful woman who tells him she hasn't seen any handsome young knights. "No? Well thank you." Says a clearly blushing Darres. "But," the woman says, "Often knights use the most ridiculous disguises when they come see me. You should see some of the stuff they wear. He could also be posing as a woman. Wouldn't be the first time. Anyhow, see you around." Darres is blushing all over again and thinks to himself "She reminds me of her...." Jill says to Darres: "Stop drooling captain, she's already gone." This earns him a conk on the head and a 'I wasn't drooling! You hear me?' Krai states: "Relax captain, she was kinda hot. Not hot enough to pay for though." Both Darres and Jill look up and in shock say "What?!" and Krai explains that where they are is a brothel, pointing to all the beautiful-looking and not-so-beautiful women. One of these girls call down if they're looking for a princess, they've got plenty up here prompting Krai to yell back up 'sounds good to me, throw down a ladder!' and Darres to jump on Krai admonishing him. But still Darres thinks, blushing again that he never would have guessed the beautiful woman was a prostitute. A panel of the throng of women shows the beautiful woman and an elderly woman with her face hid behind this woman.... Back in La Naan's coliseum, cloaked-figure, a smirking Ishtar and the rest of the audience watch as Prince Vord as who they believe is Princess Ishtar fight. Vord thinks 'Ishtar' as spirit but it's no match for skill and brings his sword down hard on Duzzell-as-Ishtar. Duzzell/Ishtar flips over into the air and lands thinking how his feline body isn't strong enough yet to channel his magic and that it's a damn shame it'll just have to be a sword fight. Vord is shocked to see how Duzzell/Ishtar flipped and out-manuevered his sword skills. Duzzell/Ishtar thinks 'This ox has a thing or two to learn about point fighting. You'd think a champion would know. Strength and stamina don't compare to guile and SPEED!" and with that Duzzell/Ishtar makes a catapult jump to the shock and awe of the cloaked figure and Ishtar in the audience and lands a strike upon Prince Vord drawing blood from the prince. Everyone has their mouths hanging open. Duzzell/Ishtar stands triumphant with the sword and his face smudged with trickles of the blood. "TOUCHE POINT" the announcer yells. Vord is left to wonder how Ishtar got him and drew blood with an edgeless sword! "I like her." Vord states, blushing slightly. He yells SILENCE at his followers who rush to his aid. "I like her" Vord thinks, "Not much of a rack...but other than that, she's damn near perfect." Duzzell/Ishtar addresses him: "Prince...?" And Vord replies, "Only my subjects calls me 'Prince.' Duzzell than realizes this was Vord as in Prince Vord of the House of La Naan, the youngest of its 3 princes. Vord grabs Duzzell/Ishtar and to audience-Ishtar's surprise and Duzzell's surprise, Vord says "I want to marry you" and kisses DUZZELL FULL ON THE LIPS! Ishtar thinks in her head, back in the audience, YUCK! As Vord hugs Duzzell/Ishtar, Duzzell ruminates 'something's...not right here....', a shot of the bloodies sword is shown. Back with Darres and company, they have been traveling from town to town looking for Ishtar with no trace of her in sight. For some reason, KRAI doesn't think our gorgeous princess is so gorgeous or so hot and says finding the Princess will be hard since she's not exactly a knock-out...scrawny brunette with flat chests don't turn a lot of heads in this neighborhood...now if she had an ass like that blond we saw back there....." (I don't like Krai much) Darres listens to Krai's idiocy with a sweatdrop and deciding it is in fact too hard to find Ishtar, pulls out the mirror... Back at Pheliosta Castle, Yujinn is reassuring Sir Keld that the Princess is safe with Sidia, 5 talismans and Darres protecting her, not to mention that crazy cat of hers. He thinks in his head that that's the 8th time he's told Sir Keld this today. Suddenly he sees the mirror glowing and covering up why it's glowing to Sir Keld escapes to answer Darres summons... Back with Ishtar and Duzzell, Ishtar is slapping Duzzell on the head because Duzzell won't 'snap out of it' and is lost in thought of how strange it is....that not only was Prince Vord not Phelios - they weren't even related! But if he really was Ishtar's cousin, then he'd have to be a descendant of Phelios. Finally Ishtar gets through to him and he snaps out of it. "Look I know you were just kissed by a man and all..." Ishtar states but is cut short by Duzzell who says "That's not it! But you do owe me big for that." Ishtar looks all sad and apologizes sincerely saying 'I'm sorry, I didn't know my cousin was such a horndog." Duzzell is taken aback and blushes slightly - "She's sorry?" he wonders. He shakes his head and states 'Well one good thing came from it. I know now that Vord is not Phelios." Ishtar responds "Of course not. I could've told you that. He doesn't look a bit like that portrait over the mantle." Duzzell comments how they look has nothing to do with it and tells Ishtar that Vord isn't even her blood relative. Ishtar can't believe this as both her aunt and uncle are in the Phelios line and even if one of them had fooled around their child would still carry his blood. Duzzell asks if it could've been adultery and Ishtar laughs asking if Duzzell has actually *seen* her aunt? Duzzell is left to wonder what went wrong and if he made a mistake. At that moment there is a commotion at the door to Ishtar's room and they hear a voice telling someone "No visitors please. This is the Lady Duzzell's room. She must have her rest if she is to fight well tomorrow." To this, that person responds: "Lady Duzzell? What the hell?!" Another voice responds, "That's got to be her!" Ishtar is in shock: DARRES!!! and true to that, Darres throws open the door in knightly splendor and finds Ishtar in front of him with her kyawl resting against her shoulder. She smiles and says "Hi Darres! Nice of you to drop in. Say, uh, how'd you find me?" Darres just yells in a loud voice: LADY ISHTAR!!! Back at La Naan castle, the beautiful woman from before whom Darres and the guards had run into is saying hello to a man on the balcony above: "Hi Laphiji. Can you give me a hand? Climbing in these heels is murder." Laphiji responds with the blonde's name: "Seiliez..." La Naan ACT 3 Scene opens up back where we left off...at La Naan Castle with Laphiji and Seiliez. The former gives the latter his hand and pulls Seiliez up to the balcony. Laphiji then reveals Seiliez's secret: "Hello....brother. Nice dress. You saw Murra again tonight?" Seiliez: "Yeah. It's best if I don't wander the red-lantern district as a man. People recognize me and I don't want mother to know I've been going to a brothel. Besides....don't I make a cute girl? " Seiliez touches his face and Laphiji turns away: "You're drunk again. We'll be burying you in that dress if you keep this up. Don't stay up late. You have a big -" Seiliez interrupts Laphiji to say "I know, I have a big day ahead of me. Always have to be the protective brother, don't you Laphiji? Well good night" And the door closes behind him with a bam. Laphiji looks sad...and says Seiliez's name outloud... Meanwhile, Seiliez is ruminating over what Laphiji said: We'll be burying you in that dress? "He's starting to sound just like mother. As if she's not bad enough on her own." At that moment, Seiliez runs into the old crow herself, much to his dismay and shock. "Seiliez, you're back. That dress. It isn't your color." Seiliez: "Mother!" Lady Ramia (his 'mother'): "Don't play dumb with me, boy. Do you really think I don't know about your disgusting little outing? You were out again, parading as a woman, chasing that whore. It's disgusting. Still, you've given me an idea. That half-wit niece of mine is coming. An undisciplined brat if ever there was one. You may yet prove that you're good for something Seiliez." The next morning comes...a crowd of people are milling about the castle and a voice announces: "Princess Ishtar has arrived!!" Ishtar enters looking gorgeous and holding Duzzell-as-kyawl in her arms. Vord is seen blushing and he and the other people at the Castle, their thoughts are heard about Ishtar: "Stunning. Absolutely stunning. I heard her mother was quite lovely but I had no idea her daughter was such a piece. She lives up to her reputation. What an entrance..." Jill and Krai are incredulous: "Stunning?! I don't get it. Is everyone in La Naan blind?" Darres sweatdrops and says nothing...his thoughts are on how Ishtar went missing and to us, the readers, it is revealed how he located Ishtar in La Naan. After he had called Yujinn in the mirror, Yujinn told him that since Ishtar had never been to La Naan before, she'd said she wanted to go to the martial arts competition so to check the coliseum. He told Darres to ask people if they'd seen 'a beautiful knight'. To this Darres had shouted: "Beautiful?! Have you got fairy dust in your eyes again?! The Ishtar I know is about as pretty as snot." Yujinn: "Now, now. Even if she is dressed like a man, the princess can't hide her beauty." Back to present where Darres, Jill and Krai are all wondering the same thing: "Lady Ishtar? Beautiful?" Darres blushes as he thinks "Ishtar is beautiful?" At that moment in walks Seiliez dressed once again as a beautiful woman and everyone is in shock and wondering what's going on. Lady Ramia smiles/smirks. And someone (Darres? or Duzzell?) thinks 'No. SHE is beautiful" (about Seiliez dressed up as a woman which they are about to find out.) Seiliez walks up to Ishtar and kisses her hand. "I'm honored to finally meet you your majesty, I am Seiliez. The oldest prince of La Naan." Everyone is shocked and sweatdropping like mad (even Duzzell). Ishtar: Prince? (thoughts of someone: 'That's a man? What?' Now Lady Ramia walks up and with a stern smile slaps Seiliez across the face. "Dammit Seiliez you're drunk again! And that outfit is hardly proper for a prince. Do to your room and change this instant!" Seiliez touched the red mark on his face and closes his eyes. "Forgive me, highness. I'm sure we'll meet again. Excuse me." And he leaves. The thoughts of the people there: "I know he was a pretty-boy. But I didn't think he was a.....I heard he's been hitting the bottle. What a rude stunt! In front of the entire court! I can't believe he'd embarrass Lady Ramia like that. Actually, I thought he looked kinda cute." Darres' reaction? "She's a HE?" (picture of him in white shock stunned) Lady Ramia laughs and asks that everyone excuse her son, "he can be so silly when he drunks." Ishtar grins and holds Duzzell up near Lady Ramia whispering to him 'Stick to our plan Duzzell' and says to Lady Ramia: "Don't worry about it Auntie. Boys will be boys and occasionally girls, it would seem. besides, it's not the first time I've seen a man wear a dress." Lady Ramia then presents her 2 other sons: Laphiji, the second oldest and her youngest, Vord, who still seems to be slightly blushing. Ishtar tells him to call her Ishtar and points out Darres: "This lug behind me is Darres! He may not look it but he's the strongest knight in Pheliosta." Vord looks non-pleased and furrows his brows and says to Darres: "The strongest knight eh?" Darres colors in anger thinking 'What's with the attitude?' Ishtar then introduces her kyawl holding him up. "A kyawl? Duzzell?' and Duzzell jumps on the old bag and takes a bit out of her arm! (GO DUZZELL!). Ishtar smilingly takes Duzzell back apologizing profusely "I'm SO sorry! He gets nervous around new people." Darres, Jill and Krai are going 'oh my god' and sweatdropping but Vord is laughing. As for Laphiji? Can't get this guy to crack a smile if Ishtar tried a million times. He does an abrupt swing away (he must be upset about the way Seiliez.) Scene changes and we're in Ishtar's room where she's in the middle of a tirade about Lady Ramia: "That little BITCH! She made Seiliez dress like that! Everyone's going to be talking about how he showed up in drag looking better than me!' Duzzell counters that Ishtar doesn't know that for sure, maybe he just likes to dress in drag. No, says Ishtar, she knows Lady Ramia and she's always playing one member of the family against another. 'She'll do ANYTHING to get one of her sons on the throne! She said I was loud and rude! Can you believe that?! You showed HER though! How'd she taste?' Duzzell tells Ishtar that as much fun as it was biting Lady Ramia, and however much Ishtar hates her, Lady Ramia isn't Phelios' reincarnation. Ishtar looks disappointed: "Aww man! Just when I was getting my hopes up. SO that leaves Laphiji - the spooky, quiet one and Seiliez the hottie." Duzzell: "Hottie?! you're into the fruit cake? But I've got a funny feeling about Vord...(thinking to himself: I don't think he's Ramia's son)" Ishtar asks 'Funny? Funny how?' and holding a pillow. 'You did seem to be very into that kiss!' (When Vord grabbed Duzzell-as-Ishtar in the Coliseum after their fight and kissed him-who-he-thought-was-a-she!) Duzzell responds: "NOT LIKE THAT YOU MORON!" Elsewhere Darres is speaking to Jill and Krai: "We've got to apologize to Lady Ramia. That damn cat is going o start a war one of these days (gets Judal's irony? Duzzell already started a war? ;) ok I knew you got it anyway) KRAI: Wait a sec captain. Out contract didn't say anything about suicide missions! DARRES: WHAT!? (screams at Krai) KRAI: I mean...someone should stand guard over Lady Ishtar, SIR! We'll be right here making sure nothing happens to her while you go deal with that snaggle-toothed she-beast...er...I mean Lady Ramia, SIR! Darres turns and walks away, leaving Jill to say that he's worried about Darres and explains to Krai that Captain Darres is no diplomat. He'd rather solve his problems with swords than words. He'll probably just make things worse, Jill concludes. Krai jumps up in agreement 'Of course he will! Why don't you go help him out! I've got the princess covered so check on Captain Darres.' Jill leaves but wonders what Krai is upto. Darres goes to Lady Ramia's chambers and is informed he's in the courtyard. Darres goes out to the courtyard and sees Lady Ramia with Vord and overhears their conversation. Lady Ramia: That arrogant little WENCH!! That was no accident! She made that beast bite me! Vord: I doubt that mother. Why would she do something like that? Darres hides behind a statue in the bushes within hearing distance. Lady Ramia: No matter. A little blood is a small price to pay....to see YOU on the throne. Everything is coming together nicely. I couldn't have planned it better myself. Can you BELIEVE that tart promises to marry whichever Prince wins the tournament?!" Shot of Darres wide-eyed in shock at this revelation. Lady Ramia: It's just a matter of time until Pheliosta is ours! (and the old crone is shown cackling/laughing.) Final image is of Darres, his eyes not shown but clearly in shock. La Naan ACT 4 La Naan ACT 5 La Naan ACT 6 JUDAL'S FREE TALK / POSTSCRIPT FROM VOL. 2 Hi there! I just wanted to thank all of my fans! Welcome to Vol. 2 of Vampire Game! Duzzell is looking for Phelios in La Naan. It's not Ramia or Vord. (Images of Vord and Ramia with X's over them. Image of Laphiji, Seiliez and Yujinn below with Yujinn saying 'hey not all of us are Phelios') And before he can bite the others....wouldn't that spoil the ending? (Picture of Duzzell-Kyawl taking a huge bite out of Judal's head and Ishtar saying 'Duzzie says don't let the cat out of the bag' Judal: 'gee thanks') About Vord: (cute pic of chibi vord waving) he is 18 yrs old (picture of Ishtar saying you're 3 yrs older than me). He's 6'3" tall and 209 pounds. Vord's hobbies include plotting world domination. (A big guy has to have big goals) He's the smartest of the 3 (picture of Vord in front of Laphiji and Seiliez.) Ishtar: You sure about that? And why does Seiliez look so young (in chibi form)? :) About Seiliez: Seliez is the oldest Prince of La Naan. He is 21 years old, 5'4" (Ishtar: you're 3" taller than me, so Ishtar is 5'1") He weighs 103. (Ishtar: You're 10 pounds lighter than me!!! Seiliez: Leave my weight out of this.) Ishtar likes him better than his brothers. (Picture of Vord crying 'It's his pretty face isn't it? Am I right?' (Ishtar sweatdrops) About Laphiji: Laphiji is the 2nd prince of La Naan, 19 years old...he's 6'1" and 171 pounds. Yes that's Laphiji all right. Laphiji's very quiet. But he has a helluva singing voice. If you get him drunk enough. Don't spread that around though. He likes to be mysterious. (Ishtar: huh? what? --- Vord: kidding. right?)
